My favourite mode of transportation

2009/10/21

“Currently, ships, as I’m still in love with the world’s oldest floating bookshop in history – MV Doulos – which stopped at Pasir Gudang, in Johor Baru, for two weeks!” — Wong Sher Min, 16, Johor Baru
“I prefer to travel by car because it’s more comfortable and enjoyable.” — Muzamir Abd Samad, 16, Merlimau.

“Cars… expensive cars… just because they’re comfortable!” — Filzah Razak, 17, Johor Baru

“It’s more environmentally friendly to travel by bus instead of car. Travelling by bus helps us protect our earth.” — Mohd Fiza Mohd Fuad, 16, Merlimau

“Skateboards! Because they’re cool, it’s a good form of exercise and I can do lots of stunts with them.” — Sia Huan Li, 17, Johor Baru

“I prefer to travel by car. The radio is able to entertain and keep us from being bored during the journey. I prefer cars instead of bicycles and motorcycles because they are safer and well-equipped to reduce injury during an accident.” — Muhd Khairul Haakimin Sharuddin, 16, Merlimau

“Jets because of the thrill they give me.” — Sharlene Wang, 17, Johor Baru

“During hot weather, I’m able to cool myself with the refreshing air-conditioner in a car and it keeps me from getting wet during rainy days. I prefer to travel by car.” — Nurkairain Md Kalip, 16, Merlimau

“Any vehicle will do for me, as long as there’s a driver!” — Neo Sin Nee, 17, Johor Baru

“School bus. I love the feel of the wind in my face when I go to school.” — Wong Sher Man, 14, Johor Baru

“Cycling keeps me healthy and fit. My excessive fat will be burned off through cycling. I’m able to enjoy the view slowly as I cycle along.” — Lim Jhin Horng, 16, Merlimau

“I have been on many modes of transport. I have been on trains, ferries, planes and even double-decker buses. But when I think of my favourite mode of transportation, my mind automatically pictures my bright red skate scooter. I got my skate scooter as a gift on my 11th birthday and I’m still using it until today. Although a skate scooter may be small and not so efficient, it is useful in many other ways. A skate scooter is a smaller version of a motorbike, excluding the engine plus the fancy gears and gadgets. But just like a motorbike, the best feeling is when the wind gushes around your skin. When I’m on my skate scooter, I feel as if the world around me doesn’t exist and it’s just me and my skate scooter.” — Anesha Gnana Kumar, 15, Petaling Jaya
