IZAN Tahir, one of the country’s foremost printmakers, presents her second solo exhibition on home soil, “Where Are You?”, at Wei-Ling Gallery from Nov 16 to Dec 2.
In this series of works, she explores one’s desire to connect to others and the different degrees of being a social animal in society.
The show is primarily about private cartogrophy — of the self within and the search for social connections.
It presents responses to and conceptions of the desire for human relationships and the simultaneous feelings of unfamiliarity and estrangement.
The gallery is at Jalan Scott, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. It opens from noon to 7pm (Monday to Friday) and 10am to 5pm (Saturday).
