Beauty Briefs: New fare from L’Oreal, Polo and Nivea

2009/11/23

MEENA SREENIVASAN

L’OREAL Proffessionnel has come up with a range of products called Force Vector to fight hair breakage.
Specially designed for people with fragile and brittle hair, the new line of shampoo, conditioner, masque and treatment is from L’oreal’s Serie Expert range, a high performance haircare system for all hair types.

If you rely heavily on straighteners, curling irons and dryers, your hair becomes rough, dry, lacks elasticity and becomes brittle.

Due to the mechanical and thermal shocks, hair is traumatised and the cuticle weakened, leaving the hair fibres brittle. Lack of protein and lipid material also cause your hair to lose its shine, softness and suppleness.

To fight breakage and reinforce shine, softness and suppleness, Force Vector is created with GlycoCell technology, a combination of Royal Jelly extract rich in amino acids and Incell (a biologically contrived substance which produces the same beneficial repairing effects as natural intercellular hair cement).

The new line also offers five times more reinforcing agents than a traditional shampoo to make the hair more solid and shiny.

The Reinforcing Anti- Breakage shampoo (RM50) and conditioner (RM47) can be used daily to reinforce fragile and brittle hair whilst the masque (RM67) is a more intense treatment.

The leave-in treatment (RM52) is to be used before styling.

ALWAYS associated with its white-letter logo on a blue background, the Nivea skincare and toiletries range has now become slimmer, modern and feminine.

When designer Volker Hundertmark created it, he wanted a bottle design that captured and complimented the female silhouette. The result is an artisticallyrefined design that easily turns a daily ritual into a moment of luxury.

The curved shape, the designer says, “expresses dynamism and movement, soft, flowing lines resembling a droplet in motion, reflecting beauty and the caring aspect of the product”.

The formula for face care, body care, deodorant, sun care, lip care and hand care remains the same.

IF you’re a man on the go and love sports, you may want to try the latest from Ralph Lauren Fragrances — Polo Red, White and Blue — a crisp tonic that is totally exhilarating.

Introduced in 2002, Polo Blue embodies the vitality of sports, the freshness of the open sea and the tranquility of a calm breeze.

Polo Red, White and Blue transports your senses to the snow and slopes, celebrating the performance and endurance of winter sportsmen and the athleticism and determination of the Polo man.

A cooler variation of Polo Blue, the new fragrance exudes pure strength, freshness and instant energy.

The top notes impart pure adrenaline with fresh red apple and cooling cucumber, while the mid notes bring an energising rush of clary sage and a surge of lavender tonic.

The sensuous base notes combine creamy white woods and sheer white musk.

The packaging is masculine and maintains the Blue tradition. The sleek blue bottle is accented by red and white diagonal racing stripes, an oversized polo player icon and a goldcoloured cap.

The Polo Red, White & Blue is available in 75ml and 125ml EDT spray.
