Burglars flee with RM70,000

BERA: Burglars broke into a supermarket here on Wednesday and made off with RM70,000 cash kept in a safe.

Deputy state Criminal Investigation Department chief Superintendent Nordin Mustapha said the theft was discovered by the 36-year-old outlet manager who arrived for work about 8am.

The cash was proceeds from sales over the previous two days.

The supermarket owner later lodged a report at the district police headquarters.
