Rumah Hope's open day

KUALA LUMPUR: To raise funds to buy a bus as well as to share love among the inmates of Rumah Hope, an open day has been organised tomorrow.

The open day is at Rumah Hope's premises at No. 45, Jalan 20/2, Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya, .

The theme for the open day is "Give Love Give Hope".

Rumah Hope chairman Davis Ramoo said love is something the children never had and the giving of "love" is the first thing they need.

"From our experience, love breaks down all barriers. The provision of a proper place to stay, constant love and care, and the provision of education give all these children hope. They need hope to be like other children who have never been neglected or abandoned, hence.".

Donors, well-wishers and the public can visit the home and see how the children are being cared for, and help raise funds to buy a mini-bus to replace the home's old vans which often break down.

The home, started in 1994, houses 60 children, five to 17 years old.
