Of course there are perennial favourites of Shanghai mooncake with pandan lotus paste and salted egg yolk, white lotus paste with double egg yolk and the all time traditional favourite of baked assorted nuts with ham.

FEATURES   SAVOURS

Art: Life-like relief!

Is it wood? Is it clay? Actually, it’s both. Norazlan Ahmad tells SATIMAN JAMIN how he found inspiration to create a new medium for his art. What sets Norazlan Ahmad, 32, apart from other amateur painters is that while others try to shine with outstanding artworks, he grabs attention for having invented and perfected a new medium for his art.

Savours: Steaming hot and fresh

For steamboat, it is imperative that the ingredients are very fresh, Chew Wen Pin tells TAN BEE HONG.
MUSIC/DANCE CINEMA/THEATRE

A Nu Jazz experience

Nu Jazz artiste Ray Harris wants to put the fun back in jazz and all are invited, writes AREF OMAR.

Theatre: Family in detention

Gemuk Girls director Alvin Tan of The Necessary Stage tells SUBHADRA DEVAN he was pleasantly surprised to see full houses for all nine shows. In 1987, while Malaysia had Ops Lallang, Operation Spectrum was in action across the Causeway. A social worker for the Roman Catholic church, Vincent Cheng, was accused of masterminding a conspiracy that would throw out the ruling government and replace it with a Marxist State.
STYLE/FASHION PERSONALITY

Style: Get organised with OneNote

GETTING organised has never been more exciting, especially for mums! For working mothers who do not have Gwyneth Paltrow’s star power or the resources of an online concierge service to organise their lives, technology does the trick!

Personality: Keep it simple, stupid

MEN complain that my writing is “too deep” for Sunday browsing. Perhaps the comics section is more easily digestible for this species. It appears men can’t decide on anything without looking at a pair of boobs.
