Six crispy deepfried catfish later, both agreed that this was by far the best they had ever tasted. The restaurant, located at Mata Air, serves around 40-50kg of ikan keli on weekdays and 100kg or more on weekends and public holidays. Besides ikan keli goreng, the five of us had three plates of other grilled fish and chicken, two types of sayur, a big plate of fresh fruit and two jugs of cincau bandung — all for RM50! Earlier in Kuala Perlis, we were pleasantly surprised to pay only RM120 for a truly lavish seafood dinner at Restoran Hai Thien Seafood. It was a dinner for six and we had steamed siakap, prawn fritters, deepfried sotong, chilli crab, kangkung belacan, mayonnaise tofu and two jugs of kedondong juice. All said and done, the best part of the two-night trip was the surprise we got from PETRONAS PRIMAX 3. We were expecting to pay a lot for petrol as we drove a sporty, high-revving Proton Gen2 1.6H-Line. But with PETRONAS PRIMAX 3, not only did we not use that much petrol but it also gave our automatic Proton Gen2 more pick-up and acceleration for a real smooth drive.
