The blog, which has attracted over 870,000 visitors since its inception in February three years ago, features Teoh’s many adventures in exploring eateries and nightlife, his travels and forays into digital photography.
“Over the years, I have developed a bit of a reputation as a food blogger, but this blog is a little bit more than that,” the 30-year-old said.
As most readers who visit his blog generally look for food recommendations, Teoh makes sure that there are always photos, addresses and hand-drawn maps to the dining places he has been.
“I have also added GPS (global positioning system) co-ordinates to them. Other than that, I post some videos and run surveys on the blog from time to time,” he said.
Asked about the enthusiastic response from readers, Teoh considers himself fortunate.
“This blog has grown way more than what I had expected. Response has been really great and hopefully, it will continue to grow,” he said.
“The blog also generates some lunch money from the Nuffnang advertisement network as well as some free meals from the food review conducted. But there are no plans to quit my day-job (in the IT field) just yet.”
On future plans, Teoh simply said, “The posts (food, travel and others) will continue to come. Personally, I hope to travel more to experience different types of food and culture and share them all online!”
