Smart, interactive pet, anyone?

Pensonic Sales and Service Sdn Bhd has brought in Pleo, a robotic dinosaur pet invented by Ugobe Inc which leverages on new hardware technology and artificial intelligence to provide an interactive experience to its owner.

Equipped with touch and force feedback sensors, an infra-red and camera-based vision system, speaker and microphone, Pleo is able to show off his inquisitive and playful “nature”, and display moods such as happy, scared, surprised, sad and vexed, depending on its owner’s attention and care.

The little green-and-brown dinosaur is made of 1,800 components, 14 motors, 15 microprocessors and sub-processors, over 100 custom-designed gears and 40 sensors.
