Konica Minolta has launched the bizhub multi-function peripheral series that features the InfoLine design. Targeted at small and medium-sized businesses, the new bizhub models offer rich features that are easily accessible to users in the workplace.

According to Konica Minolta Business Solutions Sdn Bhd’s managing director Mitsuro Hasegawa, the bizhub models have been created with the aim of enhancing today’s workplace to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve the bottom line.

“While the new bizhub allows for the seamless flow of information and increased flexibility with the existing office IT infrastructure, we have also incorporated an elegant design that we are confident will complement any office decor,” he said.

Fusing functionality and style, the six new bizhub colour series models – C203, C253, C353, C451, C550 and C650 – offer a broader range of printing, scanning, copying and faxing features to cater to high-volume traffic demands.

The models employ Polymerized Toner to produce razor-sharp text and fine-line detail to give graphics and half-tones greater impact.

The high-end C451, C550 and C650 come built-in with a Biometric Finger Vein Authentication security solution, which permits only authorised access to confidential documents shared in the office network as well as ensures a secure workflow.

With products to suit different groups of business users, Konica Minolta plans to harness the power of its extensive sales and services network in Malaysia to drive the marketing and after-sales efforts for the new bizhub line, Hasegawa said.

“In this industry we have the widest sales and services network in the country with 14 branches nationwide, a sales force of 100 and another 140 service engineers, most of whom are highly experienced with a minimum of more than five years with the company,” he pointed out.

Konica Minolta also is in tune with the rising demand for colour printing.

“Our colour to black-and-white printer ration of 21 per cent is currently above the industry average of 18 per cent, and we believe this augurs well for our goal to become the industry leader in colour,” Hasegawa said.

"As the importance and effectiveness of colour documentation increase, the industry will inevitably see a phasing out of mono printers and Konica Minolta intends to be at the forefront of this trend.”
