KUALA LUMPUR: Former employees of the Malaysian Tobacco Company raised more than RM40,000 at their MTC Charity Golf & Dinner 2008.

Event coordinator Joseph Miranda said the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd Charity Fund and the University Malaya Medical Centre were selected to receive RM20,000 each.

"We selected NSTP because we like what the company does to help children who need financial aid for surgery," he said.
