NOT everyone is famous enough to be referred to by their initials the way the 35th American president JFK - John Fitzgerald Kennedy - always was.

Here, a decade ago, we had DSAI - Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim - the term by which he was referred to during his 1998 corruption and sodomy trials and later, by just about everyone.

Now, post-Royal Commission report, the hot new set of initials that's likely to catch on will be another four-letter combo starting with D -- DVKL.

They are the initials of Datuk V.K. Lingam, the senior lawyer at the centre of the video storm.

Every major player in the events surrounding the video recording, every agency and even the digital forensic lab, had their own set of initials in the commission's report.
Owing to the number of Tuns and Tan Sris questioned by the Commission, there is a plethora of initials starting with T:

- TAF: Tun Ahmad Fairuz Dato Sheikh Halim

- TATM: Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor

- TD: Tun Mohamed Dzaiddin Abdullah

- TEC: Tun Mohd Eusoff Chin

- TK: Thirunama Karasu a/l Vellupillai

- TSMA: Tan Sri Abdul Malek Ahmad

- TSMAB: Tan Sri Mohtar Abdullah

- TSVT: Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun

There are a couple with Ls:

- LGB: Loh Gwo-Burne

- LMF: Loh Mui Fah

While former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad gets the simplest and most recognisable one of all - PM.
