KUALA LUMPUR: A "One Million Signatures" campaign to condemn the brutality of Israel towards Palestine was launched here yesterday.

Malaysians were urged to put down their signatures to show their concern and outrage against the deaths of innocent Palestinians, Malaysia-Palestine Friendship and Solidarity Association deputy president Syed Hassan Shahab said in a statement.

"The signatures will be handed to the United States embassy with two resolutions -- to condemn Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people and to urge the US to use its power to stop the violence."

Syed Hassan said the association agreed with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's suggestion to boycott products and organisations associated with Israel.
