KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corp Bhd says it is not aware of any corporate development that caused the unusual market activity (UMA) in its shares.
The stock had climbed to a five-year high on Monday.
Responding to Bursa Malaysia's UMA query, Eversendai said it is not aware of any rumour or report concerning its business and affairs that may account for the unusual trading activity.
It is also not aware of any other possible explanation to account for the sharp rise in its trading, the company added.
Eversendai was slapped with an UMA query by Bursa after its shares soared as much as 27.64 per cent or 17 sen to a high of 78.5 sen during Monday's morning trading session, the highest since October 2018.
The stock eventually closed 16.26 per cebt or 10 sen higher to 71.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM553.98 million.
