#Showbiz: Go back to your country and solve your crisis there, says Erma Fatima to Sarah Yasmine

KUALA LUMPUR: Director and producer Erma Fatima has urged Sarah Yasmine, who claims to be married Singaporean actor and singer Aliff Aziz's girlfriend, to stop her ongoing "revelations" that have disgraced several local celebrities.

Erma said that Sarah should resolve her problems with Aliff behind closed doors instead of tarnishing the Malaysian arts industry.

Disappointed with what has happened, Erma also urged those who have been dragged into these unwarranted exposés by Sarah, who is believed to be a Singaporean, to file police reports to protect their reputations.

"A woman's disappointed that her lover had left her. She's also not a citizen, she entered my country and then held a 'kenduri selak kain' (dirty linen exposé banquet) for Malaysian artistes but everyone's been celebrating this.

"Social media and media practitioners are all giving so much exposure to these foreigners.

"Go back to Singapore and resolve it there. Ruhainies and Sophia Albarakbah, please make police reports to stop her. You both have the right to do so, it doesn't matter if there is a scandal or not.

"Stop giving her attention and taking part in this 'kenduri' (banquet) by an outsider. That's why I told Sophia, don't come," she said in a news report today.

Erma was met by reporters at an event for the TV3 drama series Lelaki Itu in a restaurant, here last night.

Sophia Albarakbah, who also stars in the series, was absent at the event.

Erma added that it was necessary for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to step in and stop this from continuing.

"Where is the MCMC? What is the Ministry of Communications doing to stop foreigners from coming in and destroying the country's arts industry?

"That's what I'm really angry about. I understand how disappointed she feels after being abandoned by her lover after giving him everything, but don't come here and destroy the Malaysian arts industry.

"So, I don't want Sophia to become a victim. I don't care if she is involved in a scandal or not, but this is not the way to do it.

"I hope this 'selak kain' festival will stop and the MCMC will do something. We have laws.

"If they could previously call Zul Ariffin and I up to investigate the issue of the drama Perempuan Itu, why can't we do the same thing now?" said said.

Meanwhile, Erma hopes that Aliff will come forward to resolve the controversy that has gotten out of hand.

"I ask Aliff, to be a real man. Don't just sit down and be quiet after doing all this.

"You make a report to the police and you have the right to stop this woman. Why are you missing?" she said.
