Senior citizen who went missing in Kuala Lumpur found in Melaka

KUALA LUMPUR: An 85-year-old man reported missing after leaving for work in Kuala Lumpur yesterday has been found here today.

Lem Tek Lai, who was last seen leaving his home in Sri Petaling to go to his office in Salak South Garden at 3pm yesterday, was found safe and sound by members of the public at a rest stop in Melaka today.

Earlier, Lem's daughter, Yee Siew, told the New Straits Times that this was the second time in recent months that her father had gone missing.

She said last month, Lem went missing for a few hours after going out to repair his car in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. He was later found by members of the public, who quickly alerted his family.

Earlier, his son Mark had shared details of his missing dad in a Facebook post on the Seri Petaling community page. Lem was last seen in a white t-shirt and shorts, and was driving a Mercedes Benz.
