KUALA LUMPUR: A woman was left horrified when she discovered a dead lizard in her drink purchased from a street stall for breaking fast.
Taking to TikTok, user @azie_anjeeee shared her unsettling experience in a seven-second video clip today, quickly gaining one million views and shocking viewers with disbelief.
The incident reportedly occurred at a stall in the Klang area.
"I bought the drinks by the roadside in the Klang area because I was craving Yam-flavoured drinks. After pouring two jugs, a little was left in the plastic bag.
"I proceeded to pour (from inside the plastic bag) everything into the cup... suddenly, I thought it was cincau (grass jelly) about to slide into the cup.
"It turns out it was a lizard that was almost decomposed," she wrote.
Her situation resonated with others as comments flooded in, sharing similar experiences.
"I once bought fried rice, took a spoonful, felt something on my cheek, and when I looked, there were snail eggs in the rice," another user commented on the comment section of the clip posted by @azie_anjeeee.=
Another social expressed concern about other customers who might have purchased the same drink from the stall."
