Duo get death for trafficking in cannabis

Two men were sentenced to death by the Shah Alam High Court for trafficking in drugs eight years ago.

Judge Datuk Mohd Zaki Md Yasin sentenced Halim Nor, 45, and Indonesian Sabri Alias, 38, both prawn suppliers, guilty after a full trial with a total of 14 witnesses testified.

Halim and Sabri were found guilty of trafficking in cannabis in Pandan Indah in Oct 2001.
