Sorry, but Bukit Antarabangsa landslide report is not on sale yet

2009/11/23

KUALA LUMPUR: The report on the massive landslide in Taman Bukit Mewah, Bukit Antarabangsa, which killed five people on Dec 6 last year, has yet to be put on sale.
Members of the public and the media who went to the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) this afternoon were only told to leave their names and contact number at a counter provided by the council.

A MPAJ source told Bernama when contacted that they had yet to receive any directive on the sale of the report.

The source said that MPAJ would contact those who had registered to purchase the book upon receiving the green light to do so.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said on Wednesday that members of the public would be able to purchase the report from MPAJ from today.

Khalid said the official report, prepared by the Slope Engineering Division of the Public Works Department, was submitted to the MPAJ and forwarded to the state government.

The report, in English, is priced at RM80 per copy. -- BERNAMA
