Chinese nationals arrested In operation

KUALA LUMPUR: The Immigration Department detained 32 Chinese nationals - 29 women and three men - during a special operation targetted at three massage parlours in Jalan Metro Perdana at the Kepong Indudtrial Park here last night.
Putrajaya Immigration Deputy deputy assistant director Nik Shahanizam Ahmad said those detained were found to have abused their travel permits.

"We had placed the targetted massage outlets under surveillance for over a month," he told reporters at the scene.

He said a 30-year-old local man who managed one the premises was also arrested.
Nik Shahanizam said in another raid conducted by the department at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Sultan Ismail here also last night, it officers found some 50 Filipino maids working as GROs at it.

This was in violation of their work permits and 13 of them were detained for having fake travel documents while the others were released after their details were taken, he added.
