Teenage motorcyclist dies in accident

KANGAR,Sat: A teenaged boy was killed and two friends were seriously injured after the two motorcycles they were riding on was ramped from behind by a car along Jalan Kangar-Alor Setar near Kampung Seriab near here today. Perlis traffic police chief ASP Rosli Yahya said Saiful Mat Ros, 17, of Sungai Padang was injured in the head and died on the spot in the 3.15pm accident as they were riding towards this town.

Saiful's friends, Nor Mohd Hanif Hussein, 17, who was riding pillion on Saiful's motorcycle, and Mohd Soqimie Md Daudun, 17, who was riding the other motorcycle, were seriously injured, he said.

He also said that the car crashed into a tree by the roadside and burst into flames after knocking into them.

The three people in the car were slightly injured but their identities have yet to be established, he added. - BERNAMA
