Malacca to supply fragrance ingredients for world market

ALOR GAJAH: Malacca is in talks with French flavours and fragrances group Robertet on the supply of herb-based fragrance ingredients including lemon grass and turmeric for the world market. "We are now waiting for the official offer letter from the company. Previous negotiations were positive," Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam told reporters after opening Invitrotech Sdn Bhd's laboratory in Masjid Tanah today.

If everything went well, the deal would be signed on Dec 15 or 16 in Paris, he said.

Through the venture, Invitrotech would provide the seeds while Syarikat Pertanian Melaka and Biotech Holding would grow the herbs in collaboration with villagers.
