GEORGE TOWN: Two men, alleged to have robbed a goldsmith shop of RM1.4 million worth of gold, cash and valuables at knifepoint, have been ordered to enter their defence.
At the end of the prosecution's case, Sessions Court judge Rosilah Yop ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case against Ooi Eng Hiap, 27, and Chua Guan Teik, 26.
Ooi and Chua were jointly charged with robbing Kilang Legend Art Goldsmith of 8kg of gold ingots, 5kg of gold items, US$20,344 (RM72,650) in cash and a closed-circuit television camera as well as a computer system unit on Dec 29 last year.
Rosilah set Nov 30 for them to enter their defence.
