KUCHING: An emotional tribute for the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem, believed to have been penned by one his three daughters, went viral on the social media today.
The tribute, believed to have been written by Aziza Jasmi Adenan, have been shared among many users on Facebook.
Several users believed to be close relatives to the 33-year-old entrepreneur also shared and tagged her Facebook account under the user name, Aziza Adenan.

PETRA JAYA: Sarawak will observe a seven-day period of mourning over the passing of Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
The state will also observe a special state holiday tomorrow to enable its people to pay their last respects. The state flag will be flown at half-mast statewide during the period.
Announcing this today, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Abang Johari Openg said Adenan's remains will be brought from his official residence in Santubong to the Masjid Jamek in Kuching tomorrow at 10am.

KUCHING: Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem will be meeting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for another round of discussion over the devolution of powers between the Federal government and the Sarawak administration tomorrow.
During the meeting, which will be held at the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya, Adenan will also submit two memorandums to Najib on the state government's position on the matter.

KUCHING: Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz will propose for the expulsion of former Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Menteri Besar Kedah Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir from the party.
Speaking to reporters here today, Nazri said the duo had been acting outside the party’s principle, adding he would bring up the matter to the top leadership.
“After the Sarawak election, we will have a party meeting and I will personally propose so that they (Muhyiddin and Mukhriz) be sacked.

KUCHING: Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem brought cheer to more than 2 million people in the state when he declared July 22 as a public holiday to commemorate Sarawak's independence from British colonisation.
Adenan made the announcement in front of more than 50,000 people who attended the grand finale of the "Sejiwa, Senada" (One Soul, One Harmony) programme today.
"Today, I would like to declare that July 22 will be observed as a public holiday for Sarawak.

SRI AMAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates contesting in the 11th Sarawak election have been reminded from sidelining their constituents once elected.
The reminder came from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who believed that the candidates would perform their duties diligently after the May 7 polls are concluded.
Unlike candidates representing the ruling coalition, Zahid said the opposition would only deploy its people to the ground during the election period.

PETRA JAYA: The State Legislative Assembly will be dissolved on April 11, Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem announced today.
Adenan said he had obtained the consent to dissolve the state assembly after seeking an audience with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud at the latter's residence in Jalan Demak here this morning.
"I had sought an audience with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud this morning to seek his consent to dissolve the state assembly.

BAU: Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem will seek an audience with Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud tomorrow to fix the date to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly, paving the way for the 11th state polls.
The dissolution of the state assembly will be among several agendas to be discussed during the meeting at Astana Negeri in Petra Jaya near here.

SIBU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak joined a crowd of more than 5,000 people on a walkabout programme in Jalan Bandung here, which is famously known for its eateries.
The programme dubbed the "Bandung Walkabout" is the second walkabout event for the day in conjunction with his 48th visit to Sarawak.
The crowd thronged towards the prime minister to greet and take ‘selfies’ with the country's number one leader upon his arrival at the area at about 8pm.
