KUALA LUMPUR: The sacrifices of some 30,000 personnel of the armed forces, police and maritime agency who will be on duty during Hari Raya have not been forgotten.
Hari Raya food packages prepared by Bakti (the welfare association of wives of ministers and deputy ministers) will be distributed to them to enable them to join in the celebrations.

Bakti president and wife of the prime minister, Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah, yesterday led members in packing beef rendang and sambal ikan bilis at the Bangunan Bakti Siti Hasmah in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here.
"It’s pleasant to work together and to think of those who safeguard our country," she said.
The association packed 31,050 boxes for distribution. Twenty thousand will go to the armed forces, 10,000 to the police force and 1,050 to Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency personnel.
Among those present was Bakti deputy president and wife of the deputy prime minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
The packages will be handed over to representatives of the three agencies today.
