KUALA LUMPUR: Not everyone is lucky enough to shop at a renowned boutique like Den Wahab.
But 45 children from Pertubuhan Anak-Anak Yatim Islam Sabak Bernam were treated to a new set of Hari Raya clothes at the boutique in Jalan Masjid India yesterday, courtesy of Ambank Group's sports club, Kelab AmBank Group.
The children, aged 9 to 19, were brought there before going to the National Mosque for Friday prayers.
While the boys were praying, 23 girls from the home were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Islamic Arts Museum. Later, they gathered for a visit to the Kuala Lumpur Tower to view the city.
“This is the first time we have taken children for a visit during Ramadan. It's different than the usual buka puasa treat because they can learn and have fun at the same time,” said club president Mustafa Mohd Nor.
After the visit, the children broke fast and said their Maghrib prayers at the Ambank Group's headquarters in Jalan Raja Chulan. They were also given duit raya.
“I got a green Baju Melayu this year, although I like pink. But, I'm thankful and I really had fun today,” said Mohd Syafiq Adli Syukri, the youngest of the children.
