Special gift for baby Mohd Danish

KANGAR: He is barely 2 months old, but Mohd Danish Irfan Narul Azrin will have his own set of baju melayu and sampin for Hari Raya.

The first child of mechanic Narul Azrin Jasin, 29, and his homemaker wife Roziah Abdullah, 20, already has an appointment with Narul's cousin, who is a tailor.

“My husband's cousin makes baju melayu and promised to make one for Danish.

“The only problem may be his songkok. I'm not sure if we can find one small enough for him,” said Roziah when met at the paediatric ward at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital recently.

Mohd Danish had been warded since last week for fever and flu. He was born 41 days ago at the same hospital.

Mohd Danish was among 50 children who received Ramadan hampers from the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, and Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah.

The royal couple spent more than an hour chatting with parents while visiting the maternity and paediatric wards.

Rohaya Abdullah, 35, who gave birth to her fifth daughter at 1.16am yesterday, was all smiles when meeting the royal couple.

“It's such a wonderful surprise to have the Raja Muda and Raja Puan Muda stopping by the ward,” said Rohaya, who has yet to name her newborn girl, who weighed in at 3.05kg.

Though still recovering from her delivery, Rohayu, who is an administrative assistant at the Perlis Health Department, was excited about meeting the royal couple for the first time.
