    Open University Malaysia (OUM) will hold a preview for those interested in furthering their studies part-time at the Diploma, Bachelor, Master's and postgraduate levels as follows:

    l Sept 8 (10am to 1pm) at OUM Perak Learning Centre, Jalan Lim Bo Seng, Ipoh and Panorama Hotel, Taiping (2pm to 5pm), Perak.

    The Embassy of Japan has announced that the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for the Young Leaders' Programme (YLP) is open for application until Sept 21. Malaysian nationals who would like to pursue their Master's courses in Japan are invited to apply for the scholarships.

    During the term of the scholarship, a monthly allowance of approximately 242,000 yen (subject to change) will be given. Fees for the entrance examination, matriculation and tuition at the universities will be exempted. A round-trip airplane ticket is also provided.

    The course duration is one year from October 2013 to September 2014 (except for the Business Administration course). Courses will be conducted in English.

    The 1st Regional WIEF Web-Reach Internet Marketing Workshop will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from Sept 4-8. Be part of the hands-on event tailored for women entrepreneurs from around the globe, especially those from Africa.

    Brahma Kumaris is organising Opening The Window Of Wisdom, a retreat featuring Charlie Hogg, an international speaker who has conducted workshops in over 60 countries. He is also director of Brahma Kumaris Australia.

    The retreat is specially catered for people in positions of responsibility to tap into their wisdom to deal with life challenges.
