NEW FEATURE: The Centre for Environment, Technology and Development (CETDEM), Malaysia is holding the 11th Hari Organik on Saturday at Taman Bandar SS2 (next to Medan Selera), Jalan SS2/63, Petaling Jaya, from 8.30am to 2pm.
A new feature of the celebration is the People's Corner segment at 10am when visitors will learn about organic farming, organic food and other environmental concerns.
Visitors are advised to bring their used cooking oil as the event will kick off the 2013 cooking oil recycling programme.
Local entrepreneurs will display and sell their produce and products.
Gardeners (whether experienced or newcomers) can learn techniques for growing organic vegetables.
There will be talks on recycling used cooking oil, making organic compost, and making and using eco-enzymes. Hands-on demonstrations on how to recycle kitchen and garden waste will be held throughout the day.
