Listening Skills II

Part II of the Listening Test can take the form of a short talk or a narrative account of some events. Look at the example below:

Voice 1: Part 11

Voice 2 : Bloom 2012, the largest gardening, food and family event,  took  place in  Phoenix Park. This was the sixth year of the event and to date had been the most successful yet. Bloom 2012 attracted more than 100,000 visitors to the  28-hectare site at the Visitor's Centre in the Phoenix Park.

There were spectacular show gardens, with something for everyone and fun for all the family. Visitors  enjoyed cookery and craft demonstrations, free gardening advice from the experts, local food produce, live entertainment and vegetable planting workshops.

There were many stalls selling gardening products as well as heavy machinery. Adults paid normal entrance fees, senior citizens had discounted fees and children were exempted. There were 27 stunning show gardens and over 40 magnificent horticultural displays. A total of 81 medals were awarded on the first day of the show to garden designers, nurseries and floral artists by the international judging panel.
