PM attends wedding reception of Media Prima group editor's son

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday attended the wedding reception of the eldest son of Media Prima Berhad's Group Editor News and Current Affairs for TV and Radio Networks Datuk Manja Ismail.

Najib arrived at 12.10pm accompanied by his son Nor Ashman.

The event was also attended by Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Minister of Information, Communication and Culture Datuk Ibrahim Yahaya, Kelab Putera 1Malaysia president Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, among others.

The 25-year-old couple who had known each other when they were in University Teknologi Mara's (UiTM) had tied the knot on Nov 10.

The groom, Khaleeq Shahzada Manja wore a traditional songket and baju melayu in lavender and brown hue while his wife Hazwani Mohd Mokhtazar was in a matching long dress.

More than 100 guests, most of them from the media fraternity and friends, attended the teal and brown themed reception hosted by TV3 newscasters, Nik Suryani Megat Deraman and Engku Azmin.

Khaleeq Shahzada is a broadcast journalist for the Majalah 3 programme in TV3 while Hazwani is one of the producers for the Bella programme in ntv7.
