People have been finding different ways to smuggle drugs so that they don’t get jailed and fined. The latest trend of smuggling is drug-laced candies, which are harder to detect because they can look like lollipops that children and adults of all ages enjoy. Either the drugs are made into candies or the candies are filled with a certain type of drug.
There are already a large number of such cases in today’s world. One man made money by making candy bars and chocolate bars with a certain amount of marijuana inside each bar.
There was also another case where someone was rumoured to be giving lollies laced with fatal drugs to middle and high-school students in Memphis. The candies apparently contained a deadly mixture of marijuana and heroin. Another rare scare occurred when a lollipop laced with a drug was found in a child’s 'trick or treat' bag.
Have you heard about the glowing lollipop in the local news? Our Health Ministry stopped all shipments from entering the country because the lollipop contained dangerous toxins that could cause cancer.
Candies are any child’s favourite. Making something as sweet and amazing as candy into something that can ruin people’s lives is a crime.
