Look around for something blue. What do you see? The sky, perhaps? Something in your closet? Maybe even blue cheese? As all of you know, blue represents calmness. However, some shades of blue can come across as cold or uncaring. There are many shades of blue, and I’m sure all of you have your personal favourite hue of the colour. The shade I like most is turquoise, which represents youth.

In this issue my group members and I have put together all that we can find about the colour blue.  From blue plants and flowers in the garden, the taste of blue food, the blues music genre, to blue-coloured animals, it’s all dedicated to you, especially for those who love the colour blue, just like we do.

So sit back, grab a mug of your favourite drink, and flip through the pages of this Niexter issue. As John Ruskin, an English Romantic Writer and Painter, said, “Blue colour is everlastingly appointed by the deity to be a source of delight.” We hope our issue will do the same.
