My favourite teacher

All the teachers who have taught me since I was in Year 1 are good teachers. I admire and respect each and every one of them. I still study at the same school, so I see and greet them very often. Every one of the teachers I see in school every day is special to me, including the headmistress and all the senior assistants.

Puan Lim Hooi Si first taught me when I was in Year 5. She taught me mathematics and science. She is a very pleasant and friendly person and has all the qualities every student admires in a teacher. I enjoy learning mathematics and science because of Puan Lim. When she teaches, I can see that she has a lot of knowledge and understanding of these subjects. She makes the lessons come alive and sound interesting.

All my classmates always listen attentively when Puan Lim teaches. Puan Lim is so patient and helpful, especially when my classmates and I have problems with understanding things. She spends time explaining the things we have questions about and always checks if we understood her explanation.

Her lessons are always interesting since she uses pictures and diagrams very often. She also encourages us to always ask about anything related to what we have learned in school. I personally have never seen her get angry or upset with any student in class. One of the reasons I look forward to going to school every day is I get to see Puan Lim and attend her class. I will surely miss her when I leave primary school at the end of this year. I may meet and know more teachers when I move on to another school, but I am very sure I will not come across another Puan Lim.

So Puan Lim, thank you for being my teacher. And thank you to all my other teachers in SK Puteri, Seremban. All of you mean so much to me. I will always be grateful for all the knowledge you gave me and all the opportunities and experiences I gained through all of you.
