Ramadan bazaar

Ramadan is a fasting month for Muslims before they celebrate Hari Raya.

They fast from dusk until dawn. Most people are too tired to cook, so they go to the Ramadan bazaar to buy food. I would like to share my experience of going to the bazaar.

As soon as I reached the bazaar, I immediately started walking around, looking for things to buy since there was such a large variety of food available. The bazaar was noisy, but this made it special and uniquely Malaysian.

The place was packed not only with Muslims but also with Indians and Chinese people. The air was fragrant with the smell of cooked food. I quickly bought whatever I wanted to eat, such as Ayam Percik and Nasi Lemak. I bought many other types of food as well that were too irresistible to pass up. Then I headed home to eat the food since it is rude to eat in front of fasting Muslims.

That was my experience of going to the Ramadan bazaar. I am really looking forward to going to another  one some day.
