Malaysia’s 13th General Election

100 Permatang Pauh PKR and Pas members joins BN

BUKIT MERTAJAM: About 100 Parti Keadilan Rakyat and Pas Youth members in Permatang Pauh today abandoned their parties and pledged support to Barisan Nasional (BN).

They decided to leave Pas and PKR due to frustration over the Pakatan Rakyat's failure to deliver its promises to the people here.

They also claimed that Opposition leader and PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had failed to take care of the constituencies welfare since winning the 2008 by-election.

The youths were from Kubang Ulu branch under the Penanti constituency held by state PKR chairman Datuk Mansor Othman and the Titi Timbul branch under the Permatang Pasir constituency held by state Pas commissioner Datuk Mohd Salleh Man.

They had pledged their support to Permatang Pauh Umno division Youth chief Mohd Zaidi Md Said in Permatang Pasir today.
