DAPSY Selangor chief lodged report against former Teratai assemblyman

KUALA LUMPUR: DAPSY Selangor chief Chua Yew Choong with DAP Pandan and Ampang branch heads have gone to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Kuala Lumpur office at Jalan Cochrane to lodge a report against former DAP Teratai assemblyman Jenice Lee and her former aide Lee Hsuan Ba for alleged abuse of power and misuse of state funds.

Chua claimed there were 5 cases involving the suspected abuse of power and misuse of state funds by Jenice Lee & Lee Hsuan Ba, involving over RM54,000; of which RM32,000 were money collected from residents of Taman Seraya by Hsuan Ba to build a retaining wall.

The remaining RM22,000 was for purchase of various promotional material, like banners and T-shirts 4 DAP activities in Sg Pelek, where Lee was formerly the "ADUN angkat".

He said he decided to lodge the report today to answer Hsuan Ba's challenge to present evidence to substantiate their accusations against him and Lee.
"From information obtained from various people, I am convinced of their wrongdoings," he said.

He then urged Lee to withdraw her candidacy "because I don't think the residents want this kind of 'wakil rakyat'."

Lee had filed papers to stand as an Independent to defend her seat in Teratai despite having been replaced by DAP's new choice of candidate, Tiew Way Keng.

Asked if he was concerned that Lee would split the votes for DAP if she persisted in standing, he answered: "More or less."
