Ella, Caroline are Mentor 6 champs

SHAH ALAM: Rock Singer Ella and her protege Puteri Caroline Kamel, 20, won TV3 talent search Mentor Season 6 last night.

Veteran entertainer Fauziah Ahmad Daud and her protege Zatul Farahin finished second. Popular composer, lyricist and vocalist Faizal Tahir and his protege Anas Ridzuan finished third.

The concert was held in Stadium Malawati here and broadcast live over TV3 at 9pm. It was hosted by Ally Iskandar Mohd Mardzi.

Caroline impressed judges Datuk Sharifah Aini, Datuk Ramli M S, Azmeer and Amy of Search with her sterling performances of Datuk Siti Nurhaliza's Kau Kekasihku and Harus Cintaku, a new song written and composed by Ajai.

Ella and Caroline won RM100,000 each while Fauziah and Zatul won RM30,000. Faizal and Anas won RM10,000.

The contestants' marks were determined by the judges (50 per cent), public juries (20 per cent) and SMS votes from viewers.
