LAHAD DATU: Suspected terrorist shot dead in Semporna


LAHAD DATU: A suspected terrorist was shot dead after he attacked a member of the Malaysian security forces during an integrated operation in Semporna this morning.

The man slashed the security personnel twice before he was shot in return at Kampung Simunul.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said the security personnel who was well equipped was unharmed in the attack.

Hamza said the operation was launched to flush out criminal elements out of the water village where six policemen were killed on March 2.

Six people including the dead suspect's wife and daughter were also arrested during the operation from 8am to 11am.
