Moderate quake jolts Banda Sea


KUALA LUMPUR -- A moderate earthquake, of magnitude 5.9 on the Richter scale, struck the Banda Sea in Indonesia at 8.53 am today, the Meteorological Department reported.

It said in a statement that the quake's epicentre was 463km southeast of Ambon, Indonesia, and 1,831km southeast of Semporna, Sabah. -- BERNAMA
