Thai PM's adviser calls on Muhyiddin

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today received a courtesy call from the Thai prime minister's adviser, and a delegation from the kingdom's Education Ministry at parliament building, here.

Muhyiddin, who is also the education minister, spent about 30 minutes at the meeting where they shared experiences and best practice in Islamic education.

Sririkanon and the delegation are on a five-day visit to Malaysia until Friday.
 
The Thai delegation also includes Narathiwat Province Private Education Commission director Karim Lohmin and Southern Thailand Religious Schools
Association deputy president Sukarno Hasani. 
 
Also present during the meeting were Malaysia's Education director-general Tan Sri Abd Ghafar Mahmud and director of the ministry's Islamic Education
Division, Abdullah Yunus.  -- BERNAMA
