A Coway bidet does plenty to offer users a hygienic and comfortable toileting experience, writes Nadia Badarudin
A WOMAN who has just given birth often has troublesome toilet experiences during her confinement period.
Recovering from the delivery and possibly having to face various post-pregnancy problems, some women try to minimise their trips to the toilet to avoid the hassle and pain.
The good news is that there is a solution. The Coway Bidet system may be the answer, says Woongjin Coway (M) managing director James Park Jae Young.
The bidet (a French word for pony) is a bathroom fixture similar to a toilet bowl. It is used to wash and clean the genitalia, perineum, inner buttocks and anus.
First introduced to the Korean market in 2001, the Coway Bidet offers a more hygienic and relaxed cleansing experience and allows users to enjoy the benefits of hydro cleansing to the fullest.
“The filtered, gentle water flow and warm water cleansing setting can help reduce a woman’s discomfort during postpartum confinement, as well as during pregnancy or menstruation,” says Park.
“The warm water will also reduce pain and creates smoother bowel movements for users who suffer from constipation, haemorrhoids, rectal prolapse or other anal diseases.
“More importantly, the eco-friendly system has an air-dryer that replaces toilet paper. The pain of wiping using toilet paper will be avoided.”
COMFORT & RELIEF
For people who have difficulty moving or who can’t move without feeling pain, the Coway Bidet provides greater relief compared to a standard toilet.
“The product is designed to enable a user to perform the bodily functions in a more relaxed manner. Simply by sitting down, the user can eliminate unnecessary exertion or physical movement that can cause pain,” says Park.
Besides women, the Coway Bidet also benefits the disabled, senior citizens and children with its effortless and user-friendly features.
“The disabled, senior citizens and children who need help to clean up, can be more independent because all functions are easily operated with just the touch of a fingertip on the user-friendly control panel,” says Park who adds that
parents may also find the system an easier way to toilet-train their children and instill the importance of good personal hygiene.
THREE CHOICES
Park says there are three bidet models that can be fixed to several types of toilet bowls.
Digital Bidet BA07
This comprehensive and fully-featured Coway Bidet model comes with a twin nozzle designed for anal and genital cleansing. It has an adjustable stream width feature which allows users to choose different levels of water stream from liner spray for intensive cleansing to fountain-like spray for gentle cleansing.
This model also has an adjustable air dryer to leave the user feeling clean and refreshed, while the temperature adjustable seat gives the user comfort during cold weather.
Battery-powered Bidet BA17
This model is equipped with an adjustable water pressure feature and is fitted with a stainless steel nozzle that will automatically run a cleansing process after each use to prevent bacteria growth.
Manual Bidet BA12
This electricity-free model is equipped with a twin nozzle system for enhanced front and rear cleansing experience. Besides adjustable water stream pressure, this model has a built-in hydraulic damper that reduces noise when the lid is closed.
Park says all bidet models help reduce water consumption and come with a nano silver ceramic filter that filters out contaminants.
The BA07 model is priced at RM2,500 (including installation), while BA17 and BA12 are sold at RM1,300 and RM850 respectively.
“It’s value for money and each rental unit comes with a five-year maintenance and repair service. Instalment is available for outright purchase while we also provide rental schemes for customers.
“Customers don’t have to worry about after-sale services because every four months, our Cody (short for Coway Lady) will go to the homes of customers to change the filter or do other relevant product maintenance services,” he adds.
Coway Malaysia is currently having its second round of Bidet BA17 14-day free trial programme. Details at www.coway.com.my
