Ramada Plaza Melaka offers great dining experiences for those celebrating Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day
RAMADA Plaza Melaka is celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year with a new brand and a new general manager, Olivier Berrivin.
Located in the heart of historic Malacca city, the five-star hotel was previously known as Renaissance Hotel Melaka.
In tune with the festive mood, it is offering Chinese New Year food promotions at its dining outlets. Its all-day dining Zest Restaurant starts the celebration with Chinese New Year Fatt Choi buffet dinner serving, among others, spicy pomelo salad with jellyfish and seared tuna loin on chilled soba noodles.
There are also diverse flavours from Japan, Europe, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Japanese food lovers can find a selection of nigiri sushi, maki rolls and a selection of sashimi that includes taco, bachi tuna and fresh salmon at the sashimi counter.
At Long Feng Chinese Restaurant, there are Prosperity and Longevity Set Dinners created by Chinese chef Yang Sai Wah and team. With traditional and symbolic ingredients, these will satisfy the most discerning palate.
The Longevity set includes a bottle of fruit enzyme that’s rich in antioxidants while the eight-dish Prosperity set includes yee sang with smoked salmon fish and steamed free range chicken with ginger and fragrant garlic.
February is a month with a double celebration. Besides heralding Chinese New Year, it’s also a month of celebrating love.
On Valentine’s Day, the chefs are cooking a special meal for lovebirds. Heat up the night with dishes that include premium prime rib, scallops, smoked salmon and dip into chocolate fondue.
