“LOOK, some of my white hairs have turned black,” says Felix Tee, pointing at his crop of salt-and-pepper hair. We laugh, not believing him. But it’s true, he says, for being one with nature can work wonders.
The 58-year-old, who owns Casabrina Vacation Villas, looks fit as a fiddle. He is up every day at 4.30 or 5 every morning, and with a torchlight in hand, walks up and down the hill for more than an hour.
“I have even spotted sun bears here. Walking everyday keeps me fit, and it also allows me to have a first-hand look at what else needs attention in this place.”
Tee now spends most of his time here, after throwing in the towel on his other stressful businesses in the past. He found his sanctuary to relax in Raub.
“It took 10 long years before my private home, Villa Amertani, could run smoothly. It was a foreign royal visitor who gave me the idea of turning my dream home into a vacation villa for rent.”
After Villa Amertani, the smaller Villa Aranya was built. Tee plans to have nine more villas in all, each with a distinct theme.
“I have worked hard for 30 years, and the stress caused me to take all sorts of medication before but now, I only take one,” he says.
Wanting to share with others the secrets of regaining one’s health, Tee plans to have a proper wellness centre in Casabrina where nature is the prime element for healing. The centre will provide acupuncture service and bio-resonance therapy using electro-magnetic fields and other forms of energy to enhance health, normalise blood pressure, and improve blood circulation and immune system.
“When the wellness centre is ready, then the resort will be complete,” he says.
