Royal Selangor has exquisite home accessories that will impress guests this festive season, writes Intan Maizura Ahmad Kamal

I KNOW it’s Hari Raya tomorrow and you’ve probably decorated your home to a tee by now. But just in case there are those who haven’t and are still looking for that perfect conversation piece that’s sure to impress guests, Royal Selangor has some great home accessories for you to check out. And if you purchase RM750 and above, you’ll be able to bring home an elegant and intricate songket table runner too.

Batik Collection

The collection is simply exquisite. The range, which includes a pillbox, trinket plate, coaster, tumbler and stylishly classy photo frames, is decorated with intricate patterns commonly found on batik material. There are three common batik patterns to choose from — Parang, Ceplok and Nitik.

Peony Collection

Photo frames, coasters, a tea caddy, toothpick holder and a tumbler make up the lovely peony collection. The peony motif here is derived from examples found on Peranakan porcelain, and borrows from the graphic treatment of batik, another aspect of the Malay world embraced by the community.

Both collections are functional and decorative. You can decorate your home in a more classy understated manner with the pieces, or you can present them as gifts.
