The successful comedy sketches return for a fourth season — boldest instalment to date, writes Dennis Chua

Indicinelive! satirises the insane society we live in through a high-octane line-up of everyday characters, familiar situations and song parodies.

Founded and directed by director-in-residence Kelvin Wong, Indicinelive! has played to packed houses since its inception four years ago.

This fourth season will be Wong's last directorial work with KLPaC before he leaves for Chicago to pursue his Masters in Theatre Directing.

An outlet for new Malaysian writing, Indicinelive! 4 will feature song parodies from a more vintage playlist and will run for 10 shows at The Actors Studio @ Bukit Bintang’s Lot 10 from June 7 to 17 before heading up north for four more performances at the Penang Performing Arts Centre in Straits Quay, Tanjung Tokong from June 21 to 24.

Indicinelive! 4 boasts another eclectic ensemble of old and fresh faces: Siti Farrah Abdullah, Dinesh Kumar, Erin Marie, Matthew Ong, Jeremy Ooi, Aliaa Sharif, Shiva Shobitha, Calvin Tan and Freddy Tan. The writing team includes Ariff Kamil, Patrick Lee, Nina Shah, Freddy Tan, Sharad Vemalanathan and Erna Mahyuni. All shows start at 8.30 pm. Tickets are priced at RM38 and RM28 for students and the disabled.

Call 03-2142 2009 for The Actors Studio @ Lot 10, 03-4047 9000 for KLPaC and 04-8991 711 for Penangpac, for more information.
