AMERICAN rapper, songwriter and producer Bobby Ray Simmons Jr, or better known by his stage name B.o.B, is signed under the labels Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment and Atlantic Records.
The 24-year-old first gained recognition in 2007, when his single Haterz Everywhere (featuring Wes Fif) peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 singles chart.
Mainstream success came three years later when his debut album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures Of Bobby Ray, topped the US charts.
Its lead single, Nothin’ On You, a collaboration with singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, reached No. 1 in the US and the UK. Airplanes, the second single and featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore, peaked at No. 1 in the UK and No. 2 in the US.
The third single, Magic, became B.o.B’s third consecutive Top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. He was also named the ninth Hottest MC In The Game of 2010 by MTV.
B.o.B is expected to release his second studio album, Strange Clouds, soon. Its second single, So Good, debuted at No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 last month, with 164,000 downloads. It also reached No. 7 on the UK singles chart, making it his third Top 10 single there.
