Treating kids, fixing toys

DISNEY Junior brings stuffed animals to life in the brand new magical animated series Doc McStuffins.

Bringing lessons about health and wellness, it debuts on Monday at 9.30am over Astro Channel 613.

This imaginative animated series shares the experiences of a six-year-old girl named Doc in her quest to treat and fix all the stuffed animals and broken toys in her home and neighbourhood.

Together with her stuffed animal friends Stuffy the proud dragon; Lambie, her best friend; Hallie the jolly hippo nurse; Squeakers the fish squeaky toy and Chilly the snowman, Doc helps everyone she can.

Most importantly, Doc’s caring nature sends an important message to all viewers about the importance of caring for one’s own self and for others. In fact, Doc’s mom is a doctor who helps Doc with her “diagnoses” while her dad is a chef who whips up healthy treats for Doc and little brother Donny.

Doc’s mission to treat and care for all her stuffed animals and toys helps to demystify medicine and make doctor’s visits less frightening for young children. In addition, the series features an original song in every episode, with titles like

Be Good to Your Tummy and Wash Your Hands, plus its trademark songs in every episode, The Check-Up Song and I Feel Better.

Doc McStuffins airs daily on Disney Junior at 9.30am. Repeats air at 8pm.
