AISHWARYA Rai Bachchan shot a television and print advertisement for Kalyan Jewelers at Filmistan Studios, Mumbai last week, reports Sawfnews.com.
The 40-second TV advertisement titled Bathe In Gold, was shot in two days by Kerala-based PushCreatives director Shri Kumar Menon and photographed by Kiran Deohans who also photographed the 38-year-old star for Jodha Akbar and Longines advertisements.
The ad shows Aishwarya diving into a glass and acrylic gold hued pool from a height of 18m. That stunt was directed by Allan Amin who had done Aishwarya’s action sequences in Dhoom 2. The advertisement was also filmed on a gold hued set created by Sabu Cyril who worked on Ra.One.
Aishwarya wore a gold-coloured outfit and her make-up was also in shades of gold.
“She was hands-on and involved herself in each detail of the film. Her suggestions were superb and helped me a lot. She is very particular about the smallest of details. She is very sharp and vibrant. It was a mind-blowing experience and a dream come true to work with her. I have worked with more than 18 superstars but there has never been an experience like this. I feel I have done justice to the expectations of Aishwarya fans and to Aishwarya’s faith in me,” said Shri Kumar.
Katrina Kaif sings
CINEMAGOERS will get a chance to listen to Katrina Kaif singing in Yash Chopra’s yet-to-be named movie, reports Bollywoodmantra.com. The song was composed by A R Rahman and written by Gulzar. Katrina had worked on nursery rhymes with A R Rahman a few years ago. She is also touted to sing in Dhoom 3. Although Kareena played a rock star in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), she did not sing any of the songs in the film.
Shahid Kapoor slims down

Rough time in Georgia
THE cast and crew of Irandam Ulagam have finalised their shoot in Georgia and will be returning to India soon, reports IndiaGlitz.com. They had a difficult schedule there. “Pre-climax and climax (scenes) done. Looking forward to India! Working feverishly,” wrote the director Selvaraghavan on his microblogging page.
“Kudos to my team for sustaining so far! Tough schedule, sleep deprived, mentally exhausted but we will all march together! Arya and Anushka play tribal warriors in the film set in two time periods. Music for the film was composed by Harris Jayaraj.
Tiger debut
MANY people were expecting Jackie Shroff’s son, Tiger, to debut in a Aamir Khan film but it’s now confirmed that Tiger will make his Bollywood debut in Sajid Nadiawala’s film, Heropanti, reports The Times of India. The film will be directed by Sabbir Khan. The 21-year-old recently signed on the dotted lines in the presence of his parents. His father’s debut film in 1982 was titled Hero.
“The title Heropanti came from the character that Tiger plays. The character is little above the ordinary. In life, we follow set norms and rules. We do not move out of the box but Tiger is flamboyant and does what he wants.
“He is Jaggudada’s (Jackie’s) son and we could not have a more apt title. Sajid Bhai and I came up with it. We are still finalising the cast for the female lead and will start filming next month.”
Parvathy cut short
PARVATHY Omanakuttan, who made her debut in Billa 2, is crying foul that the many scenes she had shot for the film were edited out in the final print, reports IBNLive.com.
“I shot more scenes for the movie. Many people had expected more from me,” she said.
However, she does not regret her decision to act in Billa 2. “At the end, it is the director’s call,” she said.
She hopes to do more challenging roles in Kollywood films.
“I have not signed any new project. I am waiting for good roles.”
