    HANSIKA Motwani has been confirmed as the female lead for Vaalu, which stars Simbhu in the lead, reports IndiaGlitz.com.

    “Hansika will be cast opposite me in Vaalu. The  comedy will be by Nic Arts but I cannot divulge details now,“Simbhu said.

    It will also feature VTV Ganesh and Santhanam.

    Hansika also stars in Simbhu’s soon to be released film, Vettai Mannan, although not as the female lead.

    Tere Bin Laden sequel

    AFTER the success of Tere Bin Laden in 2010, which saw Pakistani pop star Ali Zafar in the lead, the filmmakers have decided on a sequel, titled Tere Bin Laden 3, reports Hindustan Times. Shooting is expected to start soon.

    Producer Pooja Shetty said: “I’m very excited about Tere Bin Laden 3, as it reunites young talented people and will make us relive the exciting Tere Bin Laden journey.”

    The sequel will be directed by Abhishek Sharma who confirmed the news. All I can say is that it will be one of the most original sequels.”

    Ali Zafar is expected to be a part of the  sequel.

    “Ali is excited about the film. It may not be a big part, but it will be a significant cameo,” said Pooja.

    Recipe for light comedy

    MOVIE goers will get to see two famous stars in Amol Shetge’s Love Recipe. They are Suhail Karim and Rani Agarwal, reports Bollywoodji.com. Suhail plays DJ Rahul Kher who is in love with Tia (Rani). Rahul has to convince Tia’s father that being a true Hindustani doesn’t only mean shunning Western clothes, but also its language and culture. Love Recipe promises a dose of laughter to keep the audiences tickled.

    The film is directed by Amol Shetge who won  a national award for his film Aboli.

    Love Recipe also stars Manoj Joshi, Upasana Singh and Vrijesh Hirji. It will be released on May 25.

    Jayalalithaa to attend Sneha’s wedding

    KOLLYWOOD actress Sneha has invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to her wedding  to actor Prasanna, reports TamilChannel.com. The wedding will be held on Friday at Vanagaram on the outskirts of Chennai.
    The actress was accompanied by father Rajaram, mother Padmavathy and other family members during her meeting with Jayalalithaa, who agreed to attend the
    wedding.

    Fattened for the role

    BOLLYWOOD actor Ranvir Shorey gained almost 20kg for his role as an oversized man in Fatso, reports IndianExpress.com.

    “I wore a fat suit for the body but we couldn’t afford prosthetics and make-up around chin, neck and arms. It was a health risk and I had high blood pressure due to the weight I put on so quickly. If it hadn’t been a Rajat Kapoor film, I wouldn’t have done it. It’s my third film with Rajat and I have implicit faith in him,” said Ranvir.

    “Gaining weight isn’t as tough as losing it.  For almost a year, I practised Kalaripayattu to shed the flab,” he added. Fatso also stars Gul Panag, Purab Kohli, Neil Bhoopalam and Gunjan Bakshi.

    Abhishek in a Bhojpuri movie

    ABHISHEK Bachchan will soon be in a Bhojpuri film, reports Bollywoodhungama.com. Bhojpuri films are in the Bhojpuri language, native to  people in Western Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

    “Abhishek had asked me why I don’t cast him in my films,” said Deepak Sawant, the producer.

    “Abhishek will be in the political movie, Ganga Ramji,” he added, without elaborating.

    Abhishek’s father, Amitabh, has worked with Deepak in the Bhojpuri films Ganga, Gangotri and Ganga Devi.
    Ganga Devi also stars Amitabh’s wife Jaya. It will be released soon.

    Dance, Deepika, dance

    MOVIE goers will get to see Deepika Padukone, a trained Kathak and bharatanatyam dancer, doing a classical number in Rajnikanth’s film, Kochadaiyaan. The dance item was shot in Kerala three weeks ago, reports IndiaGlitz.com.

    The song for the dance number was composed by AR Rahman and the scene wrapped up in just two days.

    The film, expected to be released in September, will also be in multiple languages. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Shobana, Rukimini, Sarath Kumar and Aadhi.
